Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 9, 2026
yumori is a place to enjoy and talk about anime. These guidelines apply to everything you post — comments, replies, your display name, handle and bio — and to how you treat other people. They are part of our Terms of Service.
Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the accounts behind it are suspended or permanently banned. The following are never allowed:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises, grooms or endangers children — reported to the authorities.
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content.
- Hate speech or attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability or serious illness.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, doxxing (sharing someone's private information), or encouraging others to do so.
- Content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm and suicide.
- Spam, scams, impersonation, and links to malware or phishing.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
- Major spoilers posted without warning on episodes others may not have watched yet (please be kind).
How reporting works
- Every comment, user profile, show, episode and character has a Report option (the ••• menu). Pick a reason — spam, harassment, hate, sexual content, violence, self-harm, minor safety, intellectual property or other — and add details if you like.
- Reports are private: the person you report isn't told who reported them.
- A comment that receives several reports is automatically hidden while we review it.
- Our moderators review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these guidelines, and suspend or ban the users who posted it.
- For urgent safety issues (for example, a threat to someone's life or child safety) also email support@yumori.tv with “URGENT” in the subject, and contact your local emergency services.
How blocking works
- Block any user from their profile or from the ••• menu on their comment.
- Once blocked, you won't see their comments or mentions, and they won't see yours.
- Blocking is private — the other person isn't notified. You can see and undo blocks in Settings → Blocked users.
Content filtering
Comments pass through an automated filter before they are published, and text that matches objectionable content is rejected. Filters aren't perfect, which is why reporting and human review back them up.
Enforcement and appeals
Depending on severity we may remove content, issue a warning, temporarily suspend, or permanently ban an account; the most serious violations lead to an immediate ban. If you think we got it wrong, email support@yumori.tv from your account's email address and we'll take another look.
